22nd Feb 2019 - Premier League Betting Tips

After last week's Premier League break because of the FA Cup 5th Round (we hope you placed a winning correct score bet on Newport v Man City..), it's back this weekend with some very enticing looking matches to enjoy and maybe place a bet on.

This Sunday really is a Super Sunday with the Carabao Cup / EFL Cup Final featuring the heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester City and Liverpool heading to Old Trafford to face a resurgent Manchester United - exciting stuff!

Our focus this week however is on the other 5 Premier League fixtures this weekend; Burnley v Tottenham, Bournemouth v Wolves, Newcastle v Huddersfield, Leicester v Crystal Palace and finally Sundays' match between Arsenal and Southampton.

Pochettino's Spurs will face a potential banana skin in the early lunch time game on Saturday with a trip to Turf Moor to face a revitalised Burnley who, having gone back to basics, have dug deep to creep their way out of the relgation zone and closer towards safety. With the weather looking brighter and warmer than your usual February day in Lancashire, this could play nicely into Spurs's hand as they won't have to fight off some gruelling cold wind in Burnley's notoriously cold stadium - all factors to consider when placing your bets. 1-1 is the bookie's favourite score line in this on and we can see why but Tottenham should just edge this one in what could be a tight match.

Rafa Benitez's Newcastle will hope that Huddersfield Town will continue their sorry form for their trip to St James' Park in their battle for Premier League survival. We think this one could prove a difficult bet to predict but struggle to see past a home win for Newcastle to lift the Toon Army who see their side currently sitting precariously 1 point above the relegation zone.

In the Sunday match up at the Emirates, Unai Emery's Arsenal should see themselves pick a comfortable three points, although they're well in truly in a battle for survival, Southampton's 'new manager bounce' is showing signs of waning just has Arsenal have started to go up a gear in recent weeks. We're also fancying Aubameyang to pick up at least a brace in this one, he should be a great option for a First Goalscorer bet here.
