2nd Mar 2019 - Derby della Capitale betting tips

Continuing the theme from the derby matches in the Premier League this weekend, Serie A follows suit with one of the biggest derbies in world football - the Derby della Capitale, this one seeing Di Francesco's AS Roma as the visitors against Simeone Inzaghi's stuttering Lazio. Our betting tips for this round of Serie A matches are on the following; Empoli v Parma, AC Milan v Sassuolo, Lazio v Roma, Torino v Chievo and Genoa v Frosinone.

Roma have turned their season around since the 7-1 Coppa Italia thumping at the hands of Federico Chiesa and Fiorentina and go into the derby on the back of some solid results and will be even more buoyed by Dzeko's late late winner away to Frosinone. Lazio, on the other hand, have been dumped out of the Europa League against Sevilla and come into this match on the back of an away loss to Genoa and a drab 0-0 draw against Milan in the first Coppa Italia Semi Final first leg. Inzaghi will be worried about the lack of goal threat his Lazio side have posed in recent weeks and will be hoping that Roma's Kostas Manolas misses out on this one through injury, although having passed his recent fitness test, these hopes look to be waning.

Our betting tips expert and our in-house football betting system can't see anything other than a Roma victoy here, BetVictor are offering a very enticing 19-1 on Roma winning this one 2-1 - incredible odds really.

Empoli host Parma after being thumped 3-0 last Friday against Milan but prior to that had a great 3-0 home win against Sassuolo, Empoli however enjoy the comforts of home and their strength at Stadio Carlo Castellani combined with Parma's form could lead to crucial points for the home side in their Serie A relegation battle. Roberto D'aversa's Parma have faltered since picking up the shock point at Juventus in that epic 3-3 match and this has led to our resident betting expert to opt for a 2-0 Empoli win, whereas our betting tips system has seen Parma bouncing back in this one - Inglese has been quiet in recent weeks and Gervinho has been unlucky hitting the woodwork rather than increasing his goal tally, this could change here. A 2-1 away victory is our tip here.

Milan should continue their recent win streak at home to Sassuolo, the away side have looked very lacklustre of late and won't be happy that they're away trip to San Siro comes during such a hot streak for Gattuso's AC Milan and in particular, the fans new hero Piatek.

Torino have one of the league's tightest defences, Chievo one of the least effective attacking threats and destined for the drop - it would be brave to bet against a home clean sheet in their game on Sunday.
